On the morning of May 20, Huaihua University held the establishment and unveiling ceremony of "Hunan Engineering Laboratory of Polyvinyl Alcohol Fiber Material Preparation Technology" and "Huaihua University Material Technology Engineering Center". This is an in-depth cooperation between Huaihua University and Hunan Xiangwei Co., Ltd., and a model of university-enterprise cooperation, product and R & D integration in Huaihua City.
The laboratory is approved by the Development and Reform Commission of Hunan Province. It is the first Hunan engineering laboratory in Huaihua City and the only laboratory in our country specializing in the preparation of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fibers and functional materials. The total investment is 23.20 million yuan, and it mainly conducts research and development and industrial transformation of new materials and products such as stretch fibers, green environmental protection, and functional polyvinyl alcohol fibers.
Polyvinyl alcohol fiber materials are widely used in clothing, industrial materials and decorative materials. Especially with the development of flame retardant materials and the expanding market demand for flame retardant materials, the research of polyvinyl alcohol fibers has also attracted more and more attention. In order to seize the opportunity and build the "National Polyvinyl Alcohol Fiber Material Technology Engineering Center", the laboratory specially hired the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering of Peking University. Professor Wei Gaoyuan, a famous polymer chemist in our country, is the technical leader. Based on the professional teachers of the School of Chemistry and Materials Engineering of Huaihua University, he joined the professional and technical backbone of Hunan Xiangwei Co., Ltd. to form a research and development team to carry out scientific research.
